Information Management System (IMS) acts as a research database and is a useful tool for data management and analysis. The development of information management system for near-ground rice spectral reflectance is introduced in this paper. The system architecture is based on client-server of 2-Tier or 3-Tier, which can be run under web environment. The steps of system development inclucic. 1. cJemand analysis, 2. datdbase design; 3. Programming; 4. interface design; and 5. test and setup. The HTML and ASP plus used to develop the system and MS SQL 2000 is used to develop the backend database. The functions of the system include: 1. system management; 2. data upload/edit/export; and 3. data query. By the development of such spectral reflectance database system, research on estimation and monitoring growth and production of rice as well as stress management of growing environment can be greatly improved. |
