Abstract
誘殺劑為害蟲發生量之偵測或實際防治上利用價值甚高的資材。然為提高其應用時之準確度及防治效果，必須瞭解其與接觸性殺蟲劑之異同處。本文特就l ）誘殺蟲數與誘殺率，2 ）有效期間與有效範圍，3 ）誘殺速度及4 ）誘殺曲線之分析等四項加以討論。誘殺率相當於一般殺蟲劑效果測試時之殺蟲率（死亡率），為誘殺劑效果評估中不可忽略之項目。有效期間與有效範圍之測定上，必須要注意誘殺效果通常隨日期或距離之遠近或長短而逐漸消失，並非到了所定之有效日期或距離時效果突然全失。在過去的誘殺措施中，常只記錄誘殺蟲數而未重視誘殺蟲之內容及品質，即所誘殺蟲之性別、日齡等應也列入記錄事項才是。尤其在利用誘殺劑之滅雄處理中，必須將雄蟲在其未與雌蟲交尾前誘殺才能得到最佳之防治效果。即對雄蟲在交尾前之誘殺速度評估也為誘殺害蟲措施中不可忽略之一環。另在誘殺害蟲之過程中，誘殺蟲數之多寡常產生變化。從誘殺蟲數曲線之分析判斷誘殺措施之應變，乃值得深入討論之事項。
Attractant is highly useful materials for the monitoring of insect occurrence or pest control. While in purpose to obtain the expected effect on the monitoring or control operation, through the application of the attractant several factors should be take into the consideration. In the present paper, special notes are made on the following 4 items : 1) No of trapped insects and percent trapped, 2) Active duration and range, 3) Velocity of the trapping action and 4) Analyses of the data in the trapped insect.
Although number of trapped insect can show the trends of abundance of target insect. The accurate efficacy of trapping should be indicated by the ratio between the number of trapped and untrapped insect. This is quite a same way that the effect of contact insecticide should be evaluated with the mortality of the treated insect. The activity of the attractant do not suddenly disappear after the certain duration or distance exceed. Usually the effectiveness of the attractant is gradually decrease as the duration or distance passed. This is extremely important consideration in the case the sex pheromone or attractant is used in mass trapping method. Also such conception is indispensable to dicide the trap grid in the field either the monitoring or pest control use. When the attractant is used for the male annihilation, velocity of trapping is another key factor to influence the final effect. As in this method, male insects should be trapped and killed before their mating. Therefore, the trap or dispenser with large evaporating surface which show big active range and high trapping velocity become the preferable material for this use. The survey on the population changes of pest insect is sometimes made by attractant. The data obtained is almost use for the analysis of the influence of the climatic factors on the population in the past studies. However if short-term scrutiny is conducted on the data, the result will afford some suggestion to study the dynamic situation of the habitat or hot spots of the target insect pest. Such work undoubtedly provide the available information for the inprovement of the further control operation of the pest insect.
