小黃薊馬 (Scirtothrips dorsalis Hood) 危害檬果新梢、花穗及小果，為影響檬果產量及品質的關鍵害蟲。檬果小型害蟲整合管理模式係以小黃薊馬為主要防治對象，以每週果園中逢機懸掛 20 張黃色黏板 (11.5x15 cm) 監測小黃薊馬發生密度，當週平均黏紙誘集薊馬成蟲達 40 隻為防治基準，應立即採取防治措施，防治時應選擇施用對小黃薊馬毒效較佳之藥劑。2009 年 10 月至 2010 年 4 月，於台南縣楠西鄉檬果園進行模擬整合管理試驗效果評估，其防治效益與前一年未施行整合管理之生產相較，全年減少約 20% 藥劑使用次數，開花期施藥次數則減少約30%，檬果品質由前一年全為三級品，提升至一、二及三級品的產量分別佔 18.2%、68.2%及 13.6%。
Chilli thrips (Scirtothrips dorsalis Hood) damage buds, flowers, and young fruits, is a key pest affecting mango quality and yield. The integrated management program aims to depress effectively the population of Chilli thrips. Twenty yellow sticky traps (11.5 cm x 15 cm) were hanged in a mango orchard to monitor the population of the pests. Control measures should be applied when 40 adult thrips in average were caught per sticky trap per week. A integrated mango orchard pest management plan was conducted at Nanzih Township of Tainan County from October, 2009 to April, 2010. The results showed that approximately 20 % of insecticides could be saved than the previous year. In addition, times of spray for flowering period decreased by approximately 30 %. Furthermore, mango quality was improved, the fruits of first, second, third grade were 18.2 %, 68.2 % and 13.6 %, respectively, compared with that of all third grade in the previous year.
