According to this preliminary field test and demonstration of citrus nursery and young tree with some water soluble and emulsive systemic insecticides against some major citrus insects showed that, Azodrin 6O WSC diluted in equal volime cf water and painted on trink in stripe was the most effective especially on citrus aphids (Toxoptera citricida Kirkaldy, Aphis spiraecola Patch), citrus leaf miner (Phyllocn 1st is cit refla Stainton), citrus jumping plant lice Diaphorina din Kuwayama, Florida red scale (Chrysomphalus ficus Ashmead) and citrus rust mite (Phyilocopiruta oleivora CAshmead.) However, water soluble concentration of CS 6858 6E and kilval 40% including emulsive dimethoate and formothion were inferior than Azodrin did due to short residue of insecticide aDtivity, scorching or limited insects.
The optimum time of painting was in flushing and 2 weeks later making further painting thus the new foliage could be protected. The times, growing strength and uniformity of flushing were different depending on climate, variety, age of tree, soil, fertilizers which should be watched and painted at proper time.

Because of painting in limited area of trunk, the natural enemies were active as without spraying insecticide citrus grove, The citrus red mite population was kept under uneccnomic level and miticide application was unnecessary. Citrus are growing on hillside where is hardly- to get water, labor is abs expensive, painting instead of spraying can save shorages of water and labor. To destroy ant nest when and after painting increased the effectiveness of systemic insecticide as ants are the fosters of honey producing insects like aphids, jumping plant lice, soft .scales, white flies, etc. Moreover, releasing Trichogramma c ontrolling citrus dogs in painting treated citrus groves established and checked very well in this field demonstration.
