When crops are cultivated in organic farming method, weed control often play an important role. In Taiwan, the row-spacing of crops is generally small. Farmers often use shoulder carrying mower for weed control. However, due to its low efficiency, time consuming and costly, many farmers still have other types of mowing equipment needs. Therefore, in this research, a manual push mower used in row-spacing of crops field for weed control has been developed. It is beneficial for reducing the demand for labor, improving operational efficiency, and simultaneously reducing costs. The operational capacity can up to 1 hectare per day operated in the tea field. The research and development directions of the mower are toward the simple structure, flexibility to install, easy to maintain, easy to use, and low-cost. The new-developed mower application type is different from before, it should have the considerable market demand and the promotion value. |
