There were no significant effects on the electrolyte leakage rate of the floret among treatments. Respiration rate between 2025 mL Kg-1 hr-1, Over 8 hrs from dehydration, the respiration rate of two cultivars was all reduced, and rise again 24 hrs later. Ethylene production increased as dehydration time extended, for ‘Furore’ ethylene production was 0.56μL Kg-1 hr-1 in control treatments. But in 8 hrs dehydration treatments, the ethylene production increased 2 fold higher than control treatments. For ‘Ornella’ there was no ethylene production in 0, 1, 2 and 4 hrs, but in dehydration 8, 12 and 24 hrs treatments, ethylene production increased to 1.5, 3.31 and 3.84μL Kg-1 hr-1, respectively. |
